Welcome to the New SYT Website

Hello! Yes! Welcome! We’re so excited to share our brand sparkly and new Somerset Youth Theatre website with you. We’re launching this with a soft launch from 17th–21st November and we’d love to hear what you think.

Please feel free to explore: click all the buttons, download our resources, browse our projects, check out the latest opportunities and, most importantly, tell us what you think. We really want this website to reflect the SYT way — singing loud about opportunities for children, young people and artists across Somerset. We hope it becomes a space that helps bring us together as we work towards a world where all young people’s voices matter.

Here on the site you can discover more about our weekly youth theatres, work experience and early-career placements, volunteering opportunities, our latest projects and programmes, and the incredible organisations, funders and supporters who help to make the magic happen.

A website is never static — and ours certainly won’t be — so please do check back in regularly, sign up to our newsletter, and help spread the SYT word.

We are by no means tech wizards, so we’ve been absolutely delighted to work with Rob at TECHNOVORE in creating this website. A huge thank you to Rob for all his hard work, and an enormous shout-out to our very own Ruth, who is a shining star in the SYT team who often hides behind the scenes but is very much centre stage in our minds!

Finally, thank you to all of the children and young people, who inspire us daily and help us find the words to tell our stories.
