After a working life managing social housing, John retired since when he has developed his interests in bread baking, photography and walking. For six years, until the summer of 2022, he was a member of the Joint Independent Remuneration Panel for a number of Somerset local authorities, a voluntary role, and joined Open Door (a charity supporting rough sleepers) as a Trustee in 2023. Working with Somerset Youth Theatre is a new direction!
